Caught this rerun on public radio last night. Since I'm too new to post a link, I hope I can say, go to the "This American Life" Web site and click onto the "I'm Still Here' link on the March 9 archive page. It's the story of a woman who has been living for 18 years with active (not in remission) Stage IV breast cancer. What a great reminder that you aren't a mortality rate stat.

In the story, the woman says she wonders why cancer researchers aren't studying her.

No kidding.
