    Hello Ya’ll,

Well, there is always something, isn’t there!

After much to do about nothing (coming out, that is); I’ve been scheduled for the dreaded
    COLONOSCOPY.
Now, I’ve been there before and I didn’t like it then, so I know that I won’t like it now!
It really isn’t about the actual procedure as long as the Doc doesn’t tear anything or kill my hamster.

BUT, all joking aside, the preparation is a real pain in the ass, both figuratively and factually. I am (Not) so looking forward to spending hours on the great white throne. Well, e-books are a really good invention and I’ve got one of those walk around chargers. My legs do go to ‘sleep’ quickly ; therefore, I’ll have to learn a rocking motion to keep the blood flowing and to prevent falling off the throne. Oh, the trials and tribulations of growing older.

What AM I complaining about? I’m alive and shouldn’t be. I can still find humor in this most invasive procedure and my caregiver says; “Hey, grin and bear it!”

    Wish me well!

Never had one but I would be dreading it too! But, wishing you well, I'm sure it will go fine and be over before you know it. Linda

Greetings from the ‘SUNNY ‘ North West,

    Well, I got through it!

It took a couple gallons of Rocket Fuel to clean the pipes and that was by far the worst part of the experience. There has got to be an easier way!

We delayed the procedure until it could be scheduled at the hospital due to my history of myasthenia gravis, and that turned out to be much to do about nothing. I was lucky to get a really professional team though. They were a real class act and were also very tolerant of my warped sense of humor.

‘Sent a bunch of polyps off to the lab for evaluation and the results should be back this week. Here’s hoping that there isn’t any concern.

On the LIGHTER SIDE: Our beautiful grand daughter turns One year old today! She is such a happy baby and walking up a storm. Linda is wearing out the sewing machine making little girl cloths.

There is always something good to be found in life no matter how really bad things seem at times. A true friend died last week. He is gone, but he is now pain free and that can only be described as a blessing.

    Warmest regards to you all,
    zim

    Zim,

Hoping too they find no "interesting" polyps .

We are glad to hear things went well and your sense of humor we love so much remains intact!

Your little granddaughter sounds darling and must be so much fun to have her around. I look forward to having one of those one day. For now, I have to settle for a grandpuppy but hopefully in a couple of years a baby will be in the family as our son is getting married in just a few short months...

Keep on keeping Zim and remember to update us.

    Lisa

    Hello Pet et al,

Thank you for your concern.. The Pathology Report is in and I’m quite happy with the results because although all the polyps were labeled ‘adenoma’, none were found to be actively cancerous. The doctor said that I should do it again in THREE years.

My comment to the three year advice; “I’ll be delighted to do it again in three years.” The doctor did understand my humor in that!

So that is done, it’s history, and now on to the next round of poking and prodding. (But hopefully in a different location!!)

And for some more good news. My eldest son came up for our Grand daughter’s big party and since he is a remarkably good chef, he did yeoman service in the party prep. He also brought 65 degree bright sunny weather up from California. A Great weekend was enjoyed by all.

Here is wishing you all well.
    Warmest regards,
    zim
