Good news a telephone call made me a happy chappie this evening

Some may have read my post on a long time friend Dave in the UK.
He was diagnosed colon cancer stage III b last year, had his hemicolectomy and then blew the astemosis within the week following surgery resulting in blue lights back to the hospital to be opened up, washed out, reconnected and clipped up.
He had secondaries to the liver and went on to 3 rounds of chemo.
He always apart from a few occasions went down to his village pub every week for his pints of Spitfire English beer.
He solved the cold problems to his hands by using Thinsulate gloves and getting his landlord to pul all his pints up front to allow them to warm up to room temperature.
He has continued with his normal life as much as possible and refused to accept what some regarded as terminal.
He just called to say that his latest scans and tests have showed NED.
Whoopie no wonder he's delighted even his long term lady is having a drink with him this evening in celebration.
As I write I am lifting my glass in a toast to a man who would not give up whatever the treatment threw at him.
Well done Dave your a true fighter and an inspiration.

Not all's rosy in the garden, but see following.
Stop grumbling Baz, your still alive and kicking so far.
Age and illness doesn't define who we are, but more what we are able to do.
Do what I love doing, when I can until I can't.
and dodging bullets in the meanwhile, too many bullets at moment.
