    Testicular cancer at 16?

My best friend has been going through many tests for testicular cancer but they are not 100% at the minute but this thought really scares me as my great uncle has just passed away from cancer and my mum has been told that she will not win her battle with her brain cancer as it is a grade four (Glioblastoma Multiform) and I'm so scared that everyone I love is going through such a horrible time, it's so hard!

    Hi

Testicular cancer is successfully treated in young men more often than not. The success rates are extremely high and it is curable . Try not to worry.

If the cancer has not spread out of the testicle, the cure rate is 100% - it is the most curable of all cancers, very sensitive to chemo, and they do use the word "cure" not remission. Even if it has spread, there is something like a 90% cure rate. I know this because a friend's son had it, it had spread, and he is doing fine.

    So don't worry.

I also know someone who.was a stage.4, Mets to lungs and brain. He's now 4 years in remission. One more year and he's a cure!
