    Stage IV & Still Kicking

I've been lurking around the forum since last July and thought I'd finally introduce myself.

I was diagnosed at the end of June 2013 with esophageal cancer mets liver. I'm being treated at Georgetown University Hospital in D.C and have been blessed with the oncologist I'm seeing in that he does clinical trial research. Given that I was prescribed palliative care I'm fairly open to what ever juju the good doctor can throw my way. I'm currently on a phase 1 clinical trial of MEDI4736 which is an immune enhancement therapy. I've been off of Folfox6 since mid Sept. and my last CT Scan showed no discernible growth. So, so far so good.

    Peace,
    Mike

    Hey there....

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.

    Only I will remain.

How hard is it to find a place that offers immunotherapy?

    Thanks.
