A healthy breakfast recipe meal I suggest...

    Hi,

I've been eating a nutritional healthy breakfast made from my loving Mom, so if you're looking for something unique and beneficial than here's the yummy recipe I would recommend:

"Oatmeal-Quinoa, fiber, wheat, sweet mixture and more!"

Put the following ingredients into your breakfast bow:

(Costco) Made in Nature Organic Black Mission Figs (fiber)- add 5 or more and cut each in half

(Trader Joe's) Walnuts - small handful or more

(Trader Joe's) Sunflower seeds - small handful or more

    Wheat Germ - 2 tbsp

Cover the bowl with a napkin or with a pot cover for wheat germ to avoid rancid from air

(Costco) Nutiva Organic Chia seeds (contains Omega-3) - put 1/4 cup of chia seeds in a cup, add 2 tbsp or more hot water (wait a few minutes for it to expand into a gel)

Heat up the following in metal handle pot with hot water(follow instructions form Trader Joe's container)

(Trader Joe's) Oven Toasted Old Fashioned Organic Oats - 1/2 cup

(Trader Joe's) White Quinoa - 1/2 cup (it expands a lot, takes longer to cook but it tells you)

Once the oatmeal and quinoa are cooked, pour into your breakfast bowl

Pour the Chia seeds into the bowl, mix

    Add the remaining ingredients:

(Trader Joe's) Organic Ground Cinnamon - one dash or two from bottle

(Costco) Organic Maple syrup - 1-2 tbsp

Mix everything together and serve...a Yum and Delish' meal!

Always go with All-natural, Organic, and never refined!

    Thanks!

Looks yummy. Many things that I add into homemade granola - all but the quinoa cause i toast it in the oven. Thanks for the recipe.

    Hi,

Also you can alternate if you just want to eat oatmeal or quinoa alone instead of adding both, as for each I believe requires 1 cup, just estimate the amount and watch it expand in your handle pot.

You can also add some Almond Breeze Original for more moist yummy flavor or if you feel it's too thick.

    Thanks!

You do know SFG that most of our readers are not from the US.

Try it without the brand names next time

    Hi ChemoMan,

Oh I'm sorry as I wasn't aware of that, I guess I just wanted to be more clear and specific of what I use to add that extra kick of flavor.

Also no recipe would be complete without the secret brand ingredients! LOL

    Thumbs up

    Hi Didee,

Yes I understand, I meant I wasn't aware that most of the members ChemoMan mentioned are not from the U.S., but now I'm aware!

I know Trader Joe's is an American private chain and Costco has hundreds of locations worldwide but am not sure if they do carry the same items as in the U.S.

But I hope other members can still substitute for similar alternative ingredients if their country unfortunately doesn't carry the ones I listed.

    Thanks
