You knew this was coming. Had the cataract out. New lens put in. He made certain that it was in the exact spot for best vision. Well, someone on the "team" provided doctor with the wrong lens. He had to go back in and remove it, then replace it with the correct lens. For some reason, I did not find this thrilling. At the follow up today, Dr. made it clear that there was a meeting and that certain team body parts were chewed on.

You must wonder sometimes surely not, why does it aways happen to me,
NHL DLBC aggressive stage 4B advanced
diagnosed april 09
after 8 rchop and a couple of delays, in remission
some long term side effects to manage post treatment
some blips and investigations on the journey but now
22nd oct 2014 discharged no more hospital visits
we are all on a roller coaster ride, riding blind never knowing where the highs and lows are.

Well John, I spare others from having to experience it. I do not hold to the eastern teaching of Karma, but Warren Zevon's song does ring true at times like these.

Only you Po! That is so nice of you to take everything on so we won't have to! Just kidding, but I think you would be really surprised if something ran smoothly. I hope you are recovering well. I have some small cataracts so probably will need the surgery one day. You have given me some food for thought!

Someday, Deb, I'll tell you why I developed lymphoma in the first place. You'll understand.

Team body parts removed or replaced might have been more satisfying. Best wishes for a recovery without (additional) incidents!
Good health,

Dropped the prednisone from alternating 12.5/5 to 10/5. Do not need to visit my hematologist until January. Good. I have enough other tests and appointments. Opthamologist, MRI of my brain as DW thinks I need my head examined. I joked that she married me, so perhaps she's the one..but I shall not repeat that.

Brain tumor
Doctor called with the MRI results. There is a small Cerebral Cavernoma in my frontal lobe. That is roughly as follows:
" cerebral cavernoma ( CCM) (when referring to presence in the brain) [1] is a type of benign vascular tumor or hemangioma, where a collection of dilated blood vessels form a lesion."
It can lead to hemorrhage, but does not seem likely at this point. So, I throw it onto the pile of other potentially fatal conditions that I stumble through life with.

Very interesting. First, let me wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you all had a wonderful day. Would that lesion/tumor be causing the symptoms DW was noticing? On another issue, my brother went to have a look at his arteries for cholesterol buildup but after like 12 tries at finding a vein to insert the die, and after hitting a nerve bundle sending severe pain doing his arm, they gave up. He is going to do just the regular calcium scoring testing instead. I know vascular issues can arise after so much chemotherapy and transplant and I wonder if this is what caused the tumor in your brain? I'm sure we will never know.
