Inspirational most definately for myself and the family

After another fraught few months, enough of that cr*p our Dubai grandson has been picked for the GBR Optimist Junior sailing team.
    Whoopee.
Just the pick up I needed.
So this evening we are heading off to Grafham Water (close to where Nick (Fourlegsgood ) resides ) in the new Merc with new tow bar and trailer with 2 Optimist dinghies as well as all the paraphanalia that goes with sailing these bathtubs.
Mom and dad with grandson arrived from Dubai last night.
Simon did Dubai / New York arriving back in Dubai yesterday, had time to get out of uniform, shower get to airport and fly out to Gatwick.

Looking forward to supporting the grandson in this round of the British Nationals, then Scottish and then over the Ireland for his first International representing GBR.
This year looks like Nanni and I have a huge amount of travelling to do as some international events mom and dad cannot make it, so grandson will be staying a lot of the summer with us.
If ever there was a reason to stay well, or as well as can be expected this must be it.

Nick if your around send a PM and we shall see if I can get a few Melton Mowbray porkers (the worlds best Pork Pies) for you uninitiated lot. Lol.
As usual the good old British weather has gone from hottish days and balmy nights to a cold blast of Arctic air, just great for a day on the water and waterside.

Stop grumbling Baz, your still alive and kicking so far.
Age and illness doesn't define who we are, but more what we are able to do.
    Motto
Do what I love doing, when I can until I can't.
and dodging bullets in the meanwhile, too many bullets at moment.

To date: 1 cancer, relapse, second relapse/mutation into 2 cancers, then 3 cancers simultaneously, 20 chemotherapy/GVHD drugs in 11 regimens (4 of them at least twice), 5 salvage regimens, 4 clinical trials, 5 post-transplant immuno-suppressant/modulatory drugs, the equivalent of 1,000 years of background radiation from 40+ CT series scans and about 24 PET scans.
Both lymphoid and myeloid malignancies lend a certain symmetry to the hematological journey.

Believing in the redemptive value of suffering makes all the difference.

    Po,
    Porkers,
probably but your food and whatever it is administration would either confiscate or slap a huge import duty on them.
which could make them not only the worlds best Porker pie but also the most expensive.
Never mind, we shall hunt them down while we are there and between all of us consume the largest we can find or more likely several smaller.
Doesnt do a lot for weight control, but who the heck cares they are delicious.

While on the subject of sport and porkers.
We have been avidly watching the Invictus Games from Florida,
Didnt you Yanks do all of the Nations proud with the venue and Organization, let alone the warm welcome.
Well done and congratulations to every single veteran participant, truly outstanding and awe inspiring.
