    Hi Bob,
    Watch away my friend, lol
Unfortunately the garden is probably the worst looking it has been in many years coming into the spring.
    Couple of excuses
    * If it gets any soggier it will be floating the amount of rain we have had.
    * Healthwise Just haven’t been up to it, lame excuse I know but that’s how it is.
Cant recall who sang “Things can only get better” but hoping the song title pans out.

Annie had to go to the GP and said she feels a wreck, Paul looked, smiled and said “Talking about wrecks look left and He is a wreck.”.
Who was to her left, myself of course.
Cheeky bugger I said, another smile.
Keep gardening my friend and careful you don’t get you’re Guru beard in the grass mower.

Additional chest CT scan ordered for 11th November prior to surgery.
    Sinus surgery done and dusted.
July 2014 PSA at 5.10. 2months of antibiotics in case of UTI, jan 2015 PSA at 7.20, 23/08 now 8.2, current 8.1

My mower is a rider so will be awhile before my beard is at risk. Everyday that I can raise my head breathing I figure I am doing well. Talk about wet, planted some "pre" pots of stuff to transplant later, afraid they floated off. But the rain will stop and then I will not be allowed to sit on my butt any longer. Got my 6 month check up next week and four years poop and snoop in July dang five year mark is sooooooo slow to coming, I know, you all know, my wife even knows but until the mark is hit I could still be in the s*it. Stay Frosty all.

The rain Bob has stopped at least for today.
So got the old Hyter petrol mower started and with some difficulty got the grass cut.
Struggle with the right leg I tell you, grit the teeth and carry on is my motto.
Reminder to self to get a second opinion appointment arranged through the GP this coming week.
Isnt life just great that I could get into the garden without thermals, ski pants or full offshore sailing gear.
    Roll on summer.
Ive a good Bosch hedge trimmer if you need it for your beard.
Really, did I say that. Lol

Mojo, many thanks and I wish I could say yes I’m doing well.
    Unfortunately the answer is no.
Lower abdominal and pelvic pain pain as well as hip and leg pain have become somewhat uncontrollably a nuisance coinciding with PSA spiked 3 points to 11 since February.
However, we shall get the pain under control as I’m playing with the meds /combos and titrating hopefully to a more comfortable level as it’s been hovering around the 8 out of 10 over the last week.
Docs just leave me to self adjust the doses and mixes as paracetamol is off limits due to the really nasty reaction to my current meds.
Not overly concerning to be honest as the water works are working reasonably well.
Appetite more than good, but still losing weight at the rate of 2 kg in 2 weeks.
    Now that isn’t good.
So the hospital reacted immediately to the PSA test of 11 and I mean immediately with a call from Urology to get my ass in Friday evening at 18.40 for a scan also be there this Wednesday at 15.15 for a pre scan examination my the specialists.
So, tomorrow if Im feeling OK I shall be taking the good lady to her coffee morning and I shall be off fishing.
Cant Have illness interfering with normal life can we.

i shan’t join the neurotic PCa discussion as that’s depressing.

Baz, I am sorry to hear the pain is bad. I hope you find the right combo of meds to work. Hoping they get the spa taken care of. My nephew has been fishing a lot. He caught a five pound channel catfish out of a pond just the other day. He took a photo and released it. He is going to Wisconsin in October to get sturgeon and northern fishing. I hope you catch some good fish. Thinking good thoughts for you my friend! Hugs from mojo

Fishing is to me relaxing and untangles ones mind.

Cant say I am optimistic on a clear single outcome on this current problem.
Not saying it is or isn’t big C related as there are number of things going on at the same time.
Unless the body and mind has decided enough is enough
    We shall have to see.
Anyway enough of me whinging I’m going to shut up and get on.
Will do a short update when I know.

Come on Barry, sort yourself out!! We can't have you in this state.

Pain is tolerable when one can see improvement but I imagine long term pain is sapping. If my horses are losing condition I always look first to see if there is any pain. They always seem to drop weight when they are in pain. Get yourself over here, I've got a box of bute that will sort you out. I have heard of jockeys sprinkling it on their cornflakes like sugar!
Age 1/2 way to 120 plus 1. Symptom of blood in stools May 2011. Colonoscopy June 2011 confirmed rectal cancer. CT scan June 2011 showed no spread to other organs. Anterior resection July 2011 plus 50% bowel removed due to thickening observed during operation. Biopsy confirmed stage 2 in rectum only. Completed 8 cycles of precautionary capecitabine (4600mg Xeloda). Returned to horse riding 6 weeks post op, jumping 2weeks later and first competition 2 weeks after that. July 2012 - CT scan clear. June 2014 - CT scan clear. December 2014 - Colonoscopy clear. July 2017 - 6 year CT scan clear.

    Nick,
Sounds like a sound plan to me says Baz chuckling.

I think the last years particularly the last year and a bit has and is taking its toll both physically and mentally.

To many balls in the air to be honest.
Dealing with one or two physical problems is enough for anyone, I’m currently dealing with four separate or related conditions.
As Annie rightly said I’ve become less adept at multi tasking, regrettably I have to agree even more so the older I become and certainly in the last 5 years or so.
