Ahh, I'd be hesitant to make comment on this matter.
Your "national uniter" didn't mince his words when he attempted to direct the UK as to the pitfalls of Brexit and in doing so probably pushed a number of "undecided" in the wrong direction (for some anyway).

We are now dealing with the considered utterances of the Chilcott report on the Iraq war.
Seems the war was illegal per se and already decided by Bush and Blair months ahead.
We know Blair wears size 9 shoes as the soles were the only thing that could be seen sticking out of Bush's Ass.

Ahh well that's another debate which won't be settled in my lifetime.
Having lived in the Middle for over 25 years it was apparent at the time that both the US administration and the UK vovernment had a basic schoolboy understanding of the ME and absolutely no understanding whatsoever of how even today they are ultra sectarian and ultra tribalistic.
The old saying "The blind leading the blind".
Reminds me of what a Emirati friends joke when a Arab was on trial for murdering a member of another sect and tribe.
The judge asked the reason for his admitted murder.
The accused said in his defense
The murdered great, great, geat grandfather had killed his great great grandfather in a tribal skirmish.
The judge nodded and then asked
I am bemused why did you take such swift revenge.

Baz, we may have disagreed about Brexit but on Iraq and the ME, fully agreed.

po18, you guys have been having a race war for centuries, you have my sympathies. We merely have class war, and a tense relationship between four nations in a single state, but these days all this stuff is peaceful ,even the Irish. Yes, there are a few members of a certain minority religion, but so far they are way less competent or destructive than the IRA was.
