Wow, did not know chemo could loosen teeth. Have had several teeth removed before cancer then one a few months ago. Glad it went o.k. for you. Always something isn't It?

1/17 Chest Xray. Mass found LUL and nodule in RUL
2/17 PET scan, no evidence of cancer anywhere else.
3/2/17 LUL lung biopsy
3/7/17 DX NSCLC LUL
3/7/17 LUL lung collapsed, hospitalized 5 weeks due to lung not staying inflated and lung infection.
6/17 PET scan. No evidence of cancer in other parts of body. RUL nodule was never dx as lung cancer.
7/17 Radiation started on LUL and RUL. 5 high dose radiation treatments every other day.
10/17 CT scan . LUL tumor has shrank as has RUL nodule. All good!
2/18 CT scan LUL tumor and RUL nodule continue to shrink. New small spot on left lung. Oncologist recomends wait 3 months and get PET/CT.
6/14/18 PET. 3 new "spots" show up, 2 LUL, 1 URL. No evidence of cancer in other parts of body.I
7/17 Lung biopsy. Cancer found LUL
8/17 PET and brain MRI. Cancer nowhere else.
9/5 Opdivo and Ipilimumab started.
1/10/2019 PET scan reveals tumors in both lungs resolved, will continue on immunotherapy.

Hi Linda!
It wasn't chemo alone, it was the smoking too,but...
So today now all upper ones gone, it was a shitty day anyway as i had to put my lovely dog down yesterday after dog attack, her hip was dislocated and after 3 days back out and surgery could not be done as she has bad bones..so i'm just sitting here crying again..but i try to remind myself she is not in pain anymore and can run around again.

Oct 15 diagnosed NSCLC stage IV , Mets in lymph nodes,
Chemo 6 months, Tumour didn't grow but lymph nodes
New Chemo 4 months, not working, new spot 4mm in Liver
Aug 16, start Opdivo ,immune therapy
CT Nov 16 , Tumor shrank, Lymph nodes shrank
CT Jan 17, Tumor all the same, Lymph nodes on Neck and under arm back to normal, in Lung and Chest a bit smaller
July 17, 2x3 cm Brain Tumor found, removed in Surgery, now radiation on spot,still on Nivu
August 18, all still same, living life every day
January 2019 < CT said NED!!!!

I am so, so sorry. Doing what you did for your dog is one of (if not ) the hardest things we will have to do and having done it many times with my own pets, I can truly know it takes a long time for the crying to stop. Wish I could give you a hug, Petra. I will be thinking of you.

Hi Pet,
I'm sorry about the teeth. I've been there. During my last chemo, my upper teeth started breaking off at the gum line. It was almost continuous, one or two a day 'till I had few left. I inherited bad teeth from my father's line, but I had managed to keep most of them until that last go round. So good luck on the replacements.

So some news now>>> First got my teeth, now just need to learn to eat lol. But time will tell..
Then >>> results from Ct >> NO evidence of metastatic disease ...woohooo. So still on Nivu and living each day!!!

YAY! you and Linda are the NED twins!
Wife to husband with squamous lung cancer stage 3 b
dx - April 20/14
tx started May 20/14 - radiation and chemo
June 23 - chemo finished
June 24 - tumor 1/3 the original size
July 4 - radiation finished
July 8 - PET scan shows tumor almost gone, lymph nodes back to normal
Married July 19/14 
Sept 9/14 - repeat can shows tumor continues to shrink more, no new spots. New coughing and pain due to chest infection or side effect of radiation.
Sept 19/14 - not infection but pneumonitis, place on dex for 4 weeks
Oct 22/14 - now off of dex and facing even more symptoms of withdrawal
Dec 16/14 - pretty much nothing left but a scar
April 7/15 - ditto scan and screw you stats
Oct 6/15 - more scarring but still cancer still gone
Feb 2016 -scan the same
Aug 2016 - more of the same
Aug 2017 - and ditto 
Aug 2018 - 4 yrs NED
