I am truly sorry to hear the news about your mom. We can't be strong all the time. It is ok to break down. That is natural. Time to spend time with her and support her the best you can - as you have done all along. Remember you need support too. Seek it through family and friends and if need be ask for counseling if you need to. The road ahead is a difficult one but your love for her will help you persevere. We are always here to listen and support.

It is so hard when the person does not want to talk to their drs. Would she be ok with telling them "as an fyi....but i don't want to know what it means or get into it; i am just letting you know" sort of a compromise. It is important for the drs to know what is going on of course but this way it would also respect she wish as well. You could also ask her for permission for you to tell them and again not to get into it with you, that respects her rights and wishes but again at least the drs would know. Just a thought.

No it's not same, Lymph nodes can swell for many reasons, as infection and so, i had them too as my cancer had spread to them, but after immune therapy they all down to nearly normal.

Thank you for your reply..you see over a year ago they said mum had an enlarged lynth node in her chest but because they had been down there so many times and cut her throat to test them all when 1st diagnosed sorry I dont know the names of them...mum had chemo but made her so poorly..after a year for xrays they said to have a ct scan because mum started coughing up blood again...so they say mum again has swollen lmyth node...i told the doctors we went through all this over a year ago so how you know there is cancer in it...he said because it's now a tumor and it's doubled in size..mum is in palliative treatment now the Dr says...now I thought u had to have a ct scan every 3 months not every 12...maybe if this was the case it wouldn't have grown too much..or found it sooner
