I hope the lung infection improves.

It's not too early to have an MRI, no. But it probably won't tell you and her anything about the status of her disease. The first MRI after the radiation treatment is often obscured by edema remaining from the radiation. But it gives the doctors baseline information for studying her future MRIs.

That's the trouble with the first MRI. It's usually very difficult to determine anything clearly because of the after effects of the radiation.

Hi Potato, hope your mother is doing well. Back in Feb/Mar my husband had the 15 days of high radiation, along with 7 days 3 weeks of the 180 mg temozolmide. Had the rest off, and after MRI result showing the balance of the tumor (not able to get without causing major decline in motor skills) is stable. This week he started his new plan of 360 mg temozolmide 5 straight days once a month. along keeping track of his blood work every 2 & 4 weeks.
We are blessed with his fantastic attitude, and handling this with no pain or nausea (with the help of the zofrin.)
Prayers to your mom and you,
    Wonder

    Hello,

My mom is in quite good shape. She is waiting for third round of 5/23 chemo. She is also off steroids, she lost weight and has better mobility.

The worst days were after chemo and radiation (before first 2/25 round) becasue of flue symptoms.

    Thank you for your prayers.

    Hello,

I'd like to ask you about Turkail Tail/Reishi mushrooms.
Do you have any information that this mushrooms rise blood platelets ?
I read that this mushrooms couses agregation of blood platelets.

What can help for low blood platelets ?

My mum probably miss the next round chemo beacause of very low blood pplatelets.

    Thank you for your help

My sister took it, with our neuro-oncologist's approval, but she stopped taking it fairly soon because it caused her indigestion. Many people with GBM take it, but I haven't heard about it being used specifically to boost blood platelets.

Usually the blood platelets will recover on their own.

I take turkey tail mushroom and I can tell you my mind was sharper and I had more energy. I also believed it helped me with cognitive functions as well. I'd ask you doctor to make sure, but I believe it helps me.
