Perhaps the neuro-oncologist thinks what's visible on the scan is pseudo-progression. That's quite common.

After the Stupp protocol the usual thing is to wait and see if the tumor grows again. However, it would be a good idea to start making plans about what to do if it does.

Here in the US, the second-string treatment for GBM is Avastin. Avastin is seldom used in Europe because of the cost. (And also because the doctors in Europe do not believe it works, although doctors in North America, Australia, and Asia believe that it does.)

However, another possibility is experimental treatment. To find out about experimental treatments, you can search here:

    https://clinicaltrials.gov

^It is a US website, but the information on it is worldwide; you can search by country.

To find more about other treatments specifically for GBM, check out

We have discussed herbal supplements here:

    https://www.cancerforums.net/threads...ements-for-gbm

Note that none of these supplements should be taken without the doctor's approval, and herbal supplements should not be used as a substitute for medical treatment.

For more information about these supplements, if you're in a reading mood, there are some long free downloads by Ben Williams, who is a 22-year survivor of GBM, here:
