Hi Featherboy, you are right. What I did was running parallel, I was comparing the same lab to the same lab plus lab vs. lab. I am aware that at Quest Diagnostics, if you asked for PSA alone you get one test, if you asked for PSA and fPSA at the same time, you get different test and you can't compare the two. I was running Quest and USC in parallel so if one spike up the other will be a check.
    Age 59 in 2013.
    PSA - 2003=1.5, 2005=1.3, 2007=1.9, 2008=1.8, 2010=2.3, March 2012=3.1, May 2012=3.35, May 2012=3.6. Three different Labs/Assays.

Bx-Dx - August 2012=3 out of 14 cores - all G6 (USC and City of Hope Path). Follow AS

    After Dx - Three months PSA - Oct 26 2012=2.5 (down from 3.6), Nov 6 2012=3.16 - New Lab at USC, Nov 14 2012=2.1(down from 2.3)
    Six months PSA - Feb 07 2013 3.29 (up from 3.16)

Hey Akai, I haven't read this thread, just your original question. I had 1 year of Firmagon. The first injections hurt like hell. Awful for 2 days, then pain tapered off for a week. By the fourth monthly injection, it was a minor irritation. I have no scars. Based on my limited experience, prepare to use heat or ice to make yourself feel better in Round 1. Things will probably be dramatically better after your body gets used to it.
