Just had TAH around 3 weeks ago and biopsy result came back that I have stage 1C and grade 2 ovarian cancer , my gyno explained that the grade would have been a 1 if the large benign cyst which had also another milignant tumour inside hadn't ruptured , I've now been told I should take some chemo treatment , just as a precaution to kill any microscopic cancer cells that may have got into my body when it ruptured . I just feel everything that's happened has happened that fast all within a month that I can't digest and take in , im worried that could this cancer be in other parts of my body and when I do get the chemo ( which I've to discuss in 2 weeks time ) with the oncologist , will it guarantee I'm cancer free , and will I need a large or small dose of treatment .

Sorry to hear to the complication during surgery Cath. It would be scary and a lot to take in. I recommend that you write down all the questions you have for the oncologist and leave a large space in between each one so you can write down the answer.

How are you feeling? Are you getting enough rest and following the rules and lifting restrictions? That was hard for me. Hope you have good support with family and friends around you. We are here for you too.

    All the best.
