    Gord Downie - Canadianl legend

Sadly, Gord Downie, the lead singer of the Tragically Hip, passed away from brain cancer on October 18, 2017 at the age 53.
I could never write all there was to Gord so I am leaving you this news link from the CBC (lol kind of fitting - Gord would have liked it) that shares a bit of his story with many links to how his death has affected my country from the First Nations People to the Prime Minister.

Two lymphoid malignancies plus a myeloid malignancy lend a certain symmetry to the journey.

Believing in the redemptive value of suffering makes all the difference.
