    Possible Ovarian Cancer? Advice?

I'm new to this site, so, hello!

I might sound like a hypochondriac, but I'm just worried lately that I have ovarian cancer. I'm a relatively new RN and I remembered some of the symptoms from school and how they can be vague. Then I started Googling things and got even more nervous. So, I guess I just want to know what your symptoms were and the tests that were run. Also, treatments that you went through. I know some things about it, but it's still good to get other's perspectives. I have an appointment with my GYN Nov. 8, but it's so hard to just sit and wait when you think something is wrong with your body. So, any info you guys have or advice would be great!

My symptoms are as follows: increased gas/indigestion, increased abdominal girth/bloating, weight gain, fatigue, occasional night sweats, getting full easy when eating, lower back pain, urinating more often than usual, sometimes I get these mild cramps in my pelvic region.

Number 1 rule - stop Googling. Google never went to med school, does not have your medical history, never examined you and is completely missing the human aspect to rationalize looking at all of that including any testing and come up with an actual medical diagnosis.

Your symptoms are very vague. As a fellow mod as advised on this site before - "There are over 68,000 known human illnesses and conditions"

it is simple, you need to go see your Dr and work with them to figure out what is going on here.

    Best of luck to you.

Hi Cobri. I have had all of those symptoms for the last 30 years. You don't say how old you are but as we get older our bodies get more cantankerous, as you undoubtedly know from your medical training.

Focus on other things while you wait for your appointment.
