Can Fu5 cream bring out skin cancers?
Hi,
New to the forum, have had several BCC, SCC and one melanoma last year on my face.
I have done a few treatments on my face, my Derm had me use Picato, the latest med to come on the market, it takes 3 days, compared to the weeks of the other treatments, but costs $1000 for 3 doses! So I completed it, but it didn’t seem to get everything, so since I was using Fu5 on my forearms, I did two weeks on the same area, 20 spots came up, Picato only effected 4 spots, so oviously only good for superficial AK, nothing deeper.
My question is: Can a FU5 treatment bring to the surface existing BCC or SCC? A few spots were not visable, but now they have not healed like the others. I go back next week to see her, and will probably get biopsies.

Jon, I don't have an answer for you, but since you posted, I am interested in your learning from your skin doc. Please post what you found on your return visit. I recently used the 5FU cream on my face.
Thanks,
doug

The only thing I can add is when my wife had a leg lesion not only did they ut it out but the other “pre cancerous” spots were treated with 5FU cream which I must admit alarmed me when they changed colour and became red and raised before they settled down.
Cant add anything else unfortunately.
