    Stomach Pains

Son was Dx'd back in 2012 with T-Cell ALL ... went into remission quickly and has been there since... With in the last few months, he gets random stomach pains ( they also make it were he cant poop) they come and go- but as of late, he's been getting them 2-3 times a week. I have him making an appointment with a GI specialist on Monday, but was curios if anyone else experienced such a thing? He has had great health since leaving treatment, so obviously this sparked those hidden fears... Our mantra- Let's not worry too much until there is something to worry about" only goes so far.
The pain seems internal , as you can't press on the abdomen and create it. Nothing seems to trigger it ( food, drink, etc) and when it leaves, its gone...No lingering.... Thanks Guys ! ~ Tom

My small intestine pains are in the ileum, where scar tissue is. but, they come and go over the last 3 years. Blood work OK? Anything stressful changed in his life? School, job, relationship, food allergies? The mucosa is a rather fickle tissue.

Labs looked good couple months back … We have GI appt this morning. A friend of mine ( he's a CRNA) - mentioned that chemo's can wipe out the good bacteria in some cases. Says its very treatable... Hoping its something of that sort .. he had one the other - intense pain, briefly , then gone. Diet does nothing to effect onset - or such. A few on a Facebook ALL page have mentioned they live with it as well...

Sorry to hear that, but it does give some direction to the doctors. The only fluid that would normally build up within the lymphatic system is lymph. Curious. I am wondering what would not be apparent in a CT that a colonoscopy would be ordered?
05/08-07/08 Tumor appears behind left ear. Followed by serial medical incompetence on the parts of PCP, veteran oncologist and pathologist (misdiagnosis via non-diagnosis). Providential guidance to proper care at an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center.

01/18 Consented for Kadmon clinical trial of drug KD025, a ROCK2 inhibitor that is believed to help with chronic GvHD.
    03/18 Began 400mg daily of KD025, a rho-Associated Coiled-coil Kinase 2 Inhibitor (ROCK2).
09/18 Due to refractory GvHD, treatment with Imbruvica (Ibrutinib) or clinical trial of Interleukin2 being considered.

To date: 1 cancer, relapse, 2 cancers, then 3 cancers simultaneously, 18 chemotherapeutic drugs in 9 regimens (4 of them at least twice), 5 salvage regimens, 4 clinical trials, 4 post-transplant immuno-suppressant drugs, the equivalent of 1,000 years of background radiation from scanning from 45+ CT series scans and about 24 PET scans. Having had both lymphoid and myeloid malignancies lend a certain symmetry to the journey.

Believing in the redemptive value of suffering makes all the difference.

Not sure either... The actual radiology report says "Scattered Nonspecific mesenteric lymph nodes in abdomen and lower right quadrant"

I'm wondering if they ordered to get a biopsy at same time. ( if necessary)

Hmmmm. Almost sounds indicative of some form of IBS or a systemic sensitivity to something ingested, whether food or medicine. His appendix OK?

Is he on pain meds? Pain meds can cause constipation which can cause stomach pains. You really need to get him to Dr. Cause Stomach pains can be anywhere from liver, kidneys, to you name it. GVH if he had Stem Cell Transplant. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully everything is fine.
