    Mom turned yellow

Hi, 4 weeks ago all off a sudden my mom (69, healthy) turned yellow. She had a 2 scans and a operation to open the Blocked galbladder. In Just 4 weeks she lost 20 kilo’s. She weighs only 45 kilo’s now.
She can only recieve palliatieve care, at home. Radiation/chemo No option because of her condition. Just 8 days since her diagnoses!. Today she only walks from her bed to her bathroom and livingroom. She lives in an apartment. When she falls asleep het breathing changes... we were suppose to do one more thing together, But she is to weak. From a strong woman to a weak/Fragile/Skeleton person. I Dont think she Will be Here long... hurts me How quickly iT Goes... No time to really make last fond memories... Just to see her change So quickly... 💔

I read on forums How quickly iT could go But Some show years even after the stage IV. But with my mom with lymfnodes artiry and liver there is Nothing left to do. I know that she wouldnt have Gone through proloning her time, treatment would only be as painrelief.

    Sorry for the rand...

Respect for all off you living and fighting this nasty cancer. And for the caregivers!

It’s possible that she’s suffering from pancreatic enzyme insufficiency and it is not allowing her to digest food. Many patients have lost a lot of weight with this problem (including me) and getting Creon helped immensely. Something to ask her doctor about. The post describing this is here.

I'm so sorry for your mother. Pancreatic cancer is a very difficult and cruel cancer. It seems that you are doing what is best to keep her as comfortable as possible and to spend quality time with her. Sending warmest thoughts your way. Brigitte
