    PanCan and depression

I have read that depression is one of the symptoms of PC and unlike other cancers there's a direct link between PC and depression, I have also read that this correlation between PC and depression is not fully understood, and even debatable. Looking back on the 6mos (spring/summer) prior to my wife's diagnosis I do recall her being somewhat down, certainly not depressed as I know it, but just not her usual self. Perhaps this is just me applying what I know now to what I didn't know then, it's hard to say.

Depression and lack of energy can look and feel the same. I know I was very low energy before diagnosis and looking back, this could have seemed like depression. Your wife may not have been depressed, just very tired, but still with her usual outlook.

I agree with Jamie. Lack of energy can be a sign of depression. I don't know what kind of depression the studies are referring too, as there are different types of depression, from full fledge and severe depressions to mild and chronic versions.
