    CD40 - IOT (ImmunoTherapy) Clinical Trial - APX005M

    Hello Everyone!!

I have been a silent visitor to this forum since June of 2016. No different from anyone else on this forum who are diagnosed with this Cancer.
Finally decided to join the forum and start posting the experience with APX005M (IOT).

    In few words..
    1) Wife, at 39, diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer summer of 2016. (July 4th long weekend)
    2) 5FU, Whipple, back on 5FU until May of 2017 and NED until 2018 October.
    3) metastatis to Liver november 2018. (three locations and avg 2+ cm each)
    4) She is eligible for recruited for Gemzar + Abraxane + CD40-APX005M clinical trial. (Cycle: Day 1, Day3, Day 8 and Day 15. Day3 is CD40-APX005M treatment and remaining three are Chemo treatments)

She is on her 4th cycle now. Scan showed improvement after 2nd Cycle. CA 19-9 down from high 2000's to 200's.
Another scan scheduled after 4th cycle. (end of March).

4th IOT treatment was scary. she had extreme side affects of it. shortness of breadth and chills.

    1) Anyone out there on this clinical trial ?
    2) Anyone dropped from this clinical trial ?
    3) Appreciate if you can share experiences on this clinical trial.

There was a woman in the Facebook group Pancreatic Cancer: NEGU whose "husband was recently taken off this trial as it didn’t work, had progression in liver. He was in the arm with both immunotherapy drugs at highest dose. Hope others have better results"

The SmartPatients site is one where patients from various types of cancer often discuss clinical trials, including this trial.

my wife's scan after 2 cycles significant reduce in the size of the lesions on the liver.
second scan is after 4th cycle. she is getting only CD40 + G + A. She was randomly selected for this arm by the computer.
