Thanks for your thoughts and advice!
Biopsy was done Friday. Core biopsy guided by ultrasound. They got 8 samples from one node. There are several apparently but that one in particular was of interest according to the doc doing the biopsy.
Now we wait. Ugh. I think that is one of the hardest parts ... waiting and not knowing. I feel like we can deal with whatever it is so long as we finally get an answer. He just wants to feel better. They said it can take up to two weeks... so we are going to keep ourselves busy with the kids, house etc.
    Thanks again.

    Update

    Update:
Well we are still here and still waiting. What a process!!
FNA came up as normal lymphatic tissue. We were thrilled!!! Follow up with cancer clinic suggested more tests and other doctors because Hubby still doesnít feel well. Fatigue, night sweats, more lymph nodes popping up in etc. All still plague him and have never went away these last 6 months. We went back to a lung specialist - he gave the all clear as the lung nodes were too small to worry about but he was the one to refer us to an ENT. He said it was very possible to have a clear FNA but there still be disease that they didnít get.
It was that ENT surgeon that recommended an excisional biopsy. He said if he didnít have any symptoms then it would be different but because he was still sick and had no answers that this would help. Everything up until this point has taken forever. Every appt, test, follow up has been literally 2-3 weeks in between. Which seems to have dragged this out over months.. but This biopsy however moved quickly. We had the consult done on Monday, biopsy last Thursday and stitches out today. At todayís follow up we were told the results are still not in and that they can take up to 3 weeks (the FNA came in much faster)
He assured us he got a good node from deep in the neck (larger than 1.5 cm) and that whatever it is good or bad but will be a good representation. He said we have been waiting, worrying and not feeling well for a long time so he promised he would not call us back IN to SEE him regardless of the results. He said there is nothing worse then getting a call to say come in to discuss and lose more sleep waiting. Heís going to call us direct and let us know the next plan of action, saying if it was the cancer centre so be it - but at least we will know what we are dealing with.
I just want him to feel better. Because if it isnít lymphoma and thatís all we have been looking for we need to figure it out.

Glad to hear about the good FNA results, and the fast response for a biopsy. It sounds like you have a good doctor and that you are doing everything you can to get this checked out.
