    Out of the woods

Is there a time that a pancreatic cancer survivor of almost 9 years be out of the woods of another recurrence? I had a distalpancredectomy in October 2010 and in June I had a recurrence. That was when I started chemotherapy from August until December
In January 2012 I started radiation therapy with my last treatment being March 2,2012..... would you say that I am safely out of the woods from a cancer recurrence? I also am BRCA II
    Thank you for your input

No one can say for sure, but after 5 years or so, your chance of a recurrence is around the same as for a normal person. For a BRCA2 person, that is still 7X the average risk.
