Thank you for the responses. It sounds like I should probably be pretty flexible on my return date back to work. I can get short term disability so that should help if I run out of PTO. I've been doing my kegels and my awesomely supportive wife has been reading the threads and buying anything she thinks that I may need post surgery from Amazon. I'm in decent shape physically so I'm not too worried about that. I'm an avid runner..or at least I was until I tore up me knee this spring so Ill be looking forward to walking and eventually getting back to my runs.
And its a pretty safe bet that I wouldn't be doing any jitterbugs at the wedding even if I didn't have surgery.

The guys have given you excellent advise. Kegels, walking, no booze, no dancing, try not to compare surgery scars, do get some Depends briefs, and an abdominal binder. It's a wide compression belt that encircles your abdomen used to speed-up the recovery process after surgery. It also makes moving around much more comfortable. Under $20 on Amazon.

    Good luck!
