Thread: ED clinics?

    ED clinics?

    Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with those clinics that promise ED relief no matter what the cause--bp meds, prostate issues, low t, etc.

Snake oil or something of value?

I'm nearing the end of my clomid script. I've been taking my 1/2 pill over other day for about three weeks. I think I have maybe one or two weeks left and then will be out. Knowing how I felt when I came off testosterone gels cold Turkey, I wanted to taper.

But since I began tapering my mood has been pretty dark and instead of having a drive at work, I'm easily overwhelmed. Cant get started due to the deluge of things needing to be done. But now we get to add ED to the mix and since I know I can't have tesosterone for the foreseeable future, I'm hoping I can salvage my sex life.

I'm starting to wonder what's worse....a decade or more of feeling like this or the risk of taking testosterone.

Anyway back to the question at hand, the ED clinics any good?

Well IceStationZebra, I can assure you one thing. Beyond any doubt, there is NOTHING to treat ED that I do not know about and only about 1 or 2 things I have not personally used over the years before I made a decision that left me with only one regret. The regret is that I did not do it 14 years sooner. These are about the levels of response. All of these are designed to produce an erection. If your desire (libido are not there they do not help with that)

I have personally used every one of the following except one.

    Over-the-counter L-Arginine 3,000 MG 45 minutes before intimacy
Cock rings - many styles that work primarily to maintain an erection after you get one either naturally or with l-arginine, PDE5 inhibitors, or VED
PDE5 Inhibitors (Viagra, Levitra, Cialis) 40 - 60 minutes before intimacy (a mix of doses and side-effects) they do not work for everyone
Vacuum Erection Device (VED) with a retention band Usually works well if you are not inhibited at working it into your intimacy routine)
Muse (VasoDialator suppository put in the urethra) I never used this. Some say it can burn. Works but not as good as the same product injected
Caverject, BiMix, TriMix (injectable into the penis 20 - 30 minutes before intimacy (really does not hurt at all and usually work well if you are not squeamish but can cause issues like scaring)
3 piece inflatable penile implant: I know, it sounds drastic and scary and like a brutal surgery. It is not a walk in the park. It is a 45-minute out-patient procedure with 2 hours in recovery and initial intercourse as soon as 3 weeks. Total recovery to feel normal about 3 months - End result IF YOU HAVE A HIGH VOLUME EXPERT SURGEON is close to turning the clock back 30 years.

I wish I could pour 15 years of trial and error, study, learning, and research into your mind but the best I can do is offer to communicate with you here on the open forum, by, PM, or phone. I suggest you go to our ED forum. If you do let me know and I will give you my personal attention to get you settled in. http://www.peyroniesforum.net
If you visit scroll down about a third of the way to the ED section.

Whatever you do, do not take injections or consider an implant without talking to me. Both hold risks if you are not educated and many doctors will leave you worse off with those two options if you are not educated.

Best of luck to you. I hope to hear an update on how things are going because there are solutions for everyone if they extend the effort.

I wish I had not done injections. I was impatient.

Hawk, write a book for ED Dummies. Shouldn't take long (see what I did there). Collaborate with an ED Doc.

Have a humorous chapter on forum questions/revelations.

I'm currently engaging a witch doctor and psychic but I'm not liking the expression on her face! 😀

Another, I couldn't write a short book. As one of my uncles once said, "Oh hell, you asked him a question. We'll be here for an hour" I waged a war against this mess for 15 years. In my case (not everyone's) putting off an implant cost me 14 years of top-notch intimacy and an inch in length. On top of that, injections caused Peyronies Disease (thus the loss of 1"). If I were going to write a booklet it would say" Try Viagra on an empty stomach and toss in a couple of L-Arginine. If you cannot get a suitable, sustained, erection within an hour call Dr. Eid in Manhattan and schedule an implant surgery. Medicare will pay and even if you are on hormone therapy you might lose your interest but you will have a solid erection. Fake it for your wife because she probably faked it for you a few times

IceStationZebra, register with the same name or at least send me a private message here and let me know your name so I can just help you get settled in and answer any questions. Men from this forum deserve a little extra attention in my opinion and I don't mind saying it.

JoseyWales, what makes it funny is that it is actually more likely to be true than not and in this business, we have to tell it like it is.

PS: BTW Josey, I have always admired the way you took out all of those bad guys. I hope you lean over and spit tobacco juice right before every treatment.

To the tune of the Toreador song from Carmen, as sung by Bart Simpson:

Toreador, oh, don't spit on the floor.
Please use the cuspidor, that's what it's for.

Cuspidor is one of those words that everyone knows, but most of us get through life without ever actually saying. OK, I confess, I had to look: you can buy a cuspidor on Amazon. I'm trying to figure out if the reviews for it there are tongue-in-cheek or not (they are marked "verified" purchase").
