    Volcanoes/waterfalls in British Columbia

Mick and I went on a pre 5 year NED celebration to Wells-Grey Provincial Park in British Columbia Canada. The Province right next door to us. We never knew there were volcanoes there - active ones too. The last one erupted only 400 years ago. Hubby and I are geology geeks. Below are some pics I wanted to share. The first one is of us at the top of one waterwater and the 2nd pic shows the waterfall.

    Those are beautiful pictures...great scenery!

My wife and I are going up to the Seattle area in a couple weeks. I am looking to see some of the geographical formations in that area. I'm sure you may know, but there is a large subduction zone just to the west of that area, and responsible for many of those volcanoes in the vicinity. We considered driving up to Vancouver, but I don't think we'll have enough time on this trip.

Glad to see survivors enjoying themselves!

    Thanks everyone!
LOL PO! Come on I had to - everything was so lined up so perfectly!
Indy sounds like a perfect trip. Almost every rock you see in my pics above are lava rocks. If you look at the 2nd pic, all that black rock a the bottom of the waterfall is lava rock. Also if you look closely along the cliff walls in each waterfall pic you can see the evidence of each past eruption. We could have spent weeks exploring if we had the time and the health. Go enjoy yourself on your trip. I would love to hear about it and see some pics too!

Looks fantastic! Never been to that part of the country unfortunately. This summer I was in Europe in Italy to be more specific in property in lake Garda. This was the view from a where we stayed for a week. Amazing views, fresh air and beautiful nature.
