What about three rises followed by a drop? Probably not very likely with a 2-decimal test, but 3-decimal tests can fluctuate, especially soon after RP. And looking at my last three numbers, do I now qualify for BCR by this definition? (Although mine aren't strictly consecutive). Also, I'm not clear on what "return" means -- any lower value or a big drop close to your nadir?

I don't see your post RP numbers in your signature. And I agree, 3 decimals is a different measure. I chose something with less finesse, but still gives me a reasonable action period for my profile. I'd adjust the 3 decimals to two decimals for this conversation.

Regardless, I expect radiation to have little or no side effects and I don't look back. I learned my lesson the first time around playing chicken with this disease and was fortunate. ADT is a different story, but still managable.

My PSA numbers are on the right in my sig. How would GenomeDx's BCR definition apply to me (a) now, (b) if my next reading is 0.018, and (c) if my next reading is 0.014?

Trying to zoom out to a bigger picture, I can't tell yet if my numbers are creeping up very slowly or essentially stable. I agree with you that their definition seems better suited to 2 decimals. BTW, I'm not worried, but just using my numbers as an example. There is probably too much "noise" at the third decimal from inherent testing variations, normal physiological fluctuation from non-prostatic PSA, daily variation in hydration, etc.

I think that the growth pattern of malignant cells will, in general, be revealed by a velocity that goes from linear to something faster.

Djin for some reason the right side of your signature will not show up on my screen. It has been that way since you changed how it was laid out. Can't scroll far enough to the right to see it. Can go to my desk top computer and mess with it where I can see it but won't show up on a smartphone or small tablet. Cuts off the right 20% or so of your signature.

Thanks -- Yes, I had a fixed width for the table and it cut off on some narrow screens. I just changed it, so now everything should appear, so now long lines will wrap. I really dislike vertically-long signatures that require much scrolling, which is why I changed it. And, since I post often, I try to remember to show my signature only when I refer to something in my data, or show it only the first time I first post in a thread.
