COMMON ERROR MESSAGE
Hi all. First of all, this post is NOT directed at any one individual. Second, there is no need to post a apology... this has happened to most of us at one time or another... even to some of us veteran members.
Sometimes when I submit a post or reply, I receive an error message that gives my the impression that my submission was not accepted. If I back up and resubmit the post, what happens is a double posting of the same message. Double posting is really not a big deal but can easily be avoided. When I receive this error message, what I do is to simply open a new window and check to make sure that my post was in fact submitted correctly BEFORE resubmitting it.
I have no idea what causes this error to occur in the first place.
Yours,

Jim,
It just happened to me for the first time. I thought I'd let you know. No double post because I backed up and reloaded the page. The post went through even though it said it didn't.

Left my embrace to live with our Heavenly Father in October of 2007 and now breathes with ease forever. I will miss this gentle, giving soul with the easy smile for the rest of my days, but have faith we will be together again. He's just getting a little break from me!

I'm having problems posting replies - it takes me to the forum home page instead of the reply box.
-
So when you hit the -reply post- button, it takes you back to the forum's index ?
Maybe not hitting the button squarly and it is going on the index button, which is right next to it. ???? not sure.

It does it whether I hit "quote" or "reply".
It then takes me back to the forum index. If I got from there to the thread and hit it again, it works.
Even to post this reply, I hit "quote", was returned to the forum index, clicked on this announcement thread again, then hit "quote" a second time.
After all that I was taken to the reply box and typed this.
This has been going on for a few weeks.
I'm on a new MacBook Pro and very computer literate, it's got to be a bug in the software.

I also got a error message when posting the above, but it did post.
My posts also never "quote box" even though it is written correctly.
-
well, I'm totally NON- computer literate. :P I have no idea. I know when we had alot of spam and people doing spam pm's etc. we had the problem of the "error start then- well, for me it did.
So maybe it is a bug- we'll have to see.
(Jim- maybe Leo ???) Though I know he probably wouldn't know any more than us.
starseed- Any suggestions?
